DIY at Home Facials for Clear Glowy Skin

So . . . you want to do facials with the girls. Fun! But expensive. As good as getting your face all pampered sounds most of us regular peeps out here can't spend hundreds of dollars a month on facials.

Maybe one day when we are all rich. . .

But we have to get out heads in the clouds ladies and gents!

If only there was a way to get great skin and relax with a luxurious face mask on without breaking the bank. . .

Well, do I have some good news for you! You can always do facials at home for a fraction of the price it would cost to get it professionally done. Follow these steps to at-home facials and you will come out with clear and glowing skin!

And yes I speak from experience. So this really works! Anyways enough of the talking, let's get started!

1. Start off with a cleanser

You'll want to get any makeup and debris off of your face so the goodness of everything else can really sink in. You can use whatever facial cleanser you have at home for this.

2. Exfoliate

DO NOT skip this step! It makes your skin so soft and it will make the next couple of steps so much easier. Try this DIY Brown sugar face scrub which literally does wonders.

3. Steam!

Oh yes, ladies! When I said facials at home I meant facials at home! Please please please don't skip this step especially if you plan on doing extractions!! It will make it so much easier to pop those volcanos when your pores are nice and open. To do DIY facial steam all you have to do is grab a pot of water and bring it to a boil. Put your face above the pot so that the steam from the water opens up your pores. Stand over the steam for about 5 to 10 minutes. Not going to lie I steamed for about 20 minutes because it felt so good but you do you.

4. Extractions ( Optional)

This step is optional because I know some people don't feel very comfortable squishing there face which is very understandable. Make sure to have some caution with this step because if you go overboard you can end up with scarring and if your not careful you can make your acne worse.

5. Toner

I do my toner ( witch hazel) after extractions to kill all the bacteria that were brought to the surface. I find that doing this prevents the gunk that escaped one pore hop into 10 other pores.

6. Olive oil

Yes, I said that right. It sounds crazy and when I first heard of putting raw plain olive oil all over your face I thought that it was ridiculous and that it would clog my pores or make my face feel really greasy. I couldn't be more wrong. At first hen you apply it, it does feel oily and yuck but after 5 minutes it soaks right up into your pores and works some kind of magic. If you would like a more detailed post about how olive oil literally changed my skin for the better and how to use it, leave a comment and let me know! P.S if you plan on trying this a little goes a long way.

7. Face mask time!!!

The face mask that you will want to use will vary by what your skin goals are. For me, I wanted to get clearer, less dry skin so I did a little google search for face masks that I could make at home that ould give me these results. You can also slap on any face mask that's in your cabinet. Whatever floats your boat. Also, I went ahead and pampered myself with a relaxing bath while my face mask dried to complete the whole spa facial feel.

8. Moisturize moisturize moisturize!!!

Once you have rinsed off your face mask you will want to end with a nice refreshing glass of water. . . for your face. Your skin has been through a lot, in a good way but still, it is very important that you moisturize your skin.

And wal ah!!

My mom and I did these facials and it's been a true struggle to not touch my face. It is so soft and smooth but not to mention clear! My blackheads, Gone! Pimples, who are they?

I cannot preach enough that these facials are a must to good skin even if you don't have the fancy products that you would probably have to get a personal loan for. Not to mention it has done a lot for my mental health. Just taking the time to do something good for yourself really does something to the mind.

I also feel that I should clarify that I am in no way a skincare Profesional and this is what has worked for me and my skincare goals.

As always, I hope you enjoy and I love ya'll the most! ❤

How I Save Hundreds Of Dollars On Household Products Each Year  I'm not going to make you read 10 paragraphs of nonsense before I actually tell you how I save big but there are a few things to add. This is not extreme couponing This is for people who have a full schedule and don't have the time to be a full-time couponer (because it IS a full-time job) but still want to save on household essentials. Last year I saved about $600 on laundry detergent, dryer sheets fabric softener, dish liquid, toilet paper, paper towels, air fresheners hair care, and pretty much anything you need.  Here is how I do it. Dollar General/ Family Dollar weekly deals. Let me explain. These stores offer coupons to people who sign up. It's completely free. You can add these coupons easily and apply them when you're in the store. You can use these coupons on anything but if you add the right ones you can save some pretty big bucks. Is it as extreme as couponing? No. I generally save...
