𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸: Keeping it real, How To Positive Self- Talk

ʜᴏᴡ ᴘᴏꜱɪᴛɪᴠᴇ ꜱᴇʟꜰ- ᴛᴀʟᴋ ᴄʜᴀɴɢᴇᴅ ᴍʏ ʟɪꜰᴇ ꜰᴏʀ ᴛʜᴇ ʙᴇᴛᴛᴇʀ

NOTE: This post is quite lengthy but stick with me here, a topic like this was very hard to squeeze into one post ;)

I have personally felt the wrath of anxiety and depression. And it truly is one of the hardest battles that I have ever fought.

I mean . . . when it comes to mental health in the workplace or in my case school, it's seen as voodoo and something no one should know about.
Sometimes it takes a history of depression to notice the patterns. I didn't think that I was depressed and I even poured over the symptoms but not until my therapist pointed out that the reason that I wasn't enjoying the things that used to make me happy was a sign of depression.
One of the hardest things that I struggled with was talking good about myself.

I wouldn't give myself credit for things that I worked hard on.
I would stay in my room and watch YouTube all day. My family would be playing outside but I chose to stay in because I told myself that they were fine without me. They could care less if I wasn't there.
I couldn't see my floor for months because of all the clothes that littered it. I used to keep my room so clean that you could eat off my floor. But I told myself, why clean it? You're such a failure anyway,
I didn't see it then but this was making the problem worse.
I continued down this spiral that never seemed to end. No matter what, I viewed myself as the scum of the earth. You can't even clean your room so why do you think you deserve to be happy.
I believed that I was meant to be sad.
Maybe God needed someone to show you that that is what failure looks like.
STOP
Where will all of that get you?
Nowhere. Absolutely nowhere, talking that way to yourself will get you nowhere.
It acts as a dark cloud blocking you from all the good in your life
There is something that I want you to do.
Every single day I want you to say 3 good things about yourself for one month.

Keep in mind each day you need to come up with 3 different positive things about yourself and make sure that you write them down.

Stick with it.

I strive every day not to make others proud but myself. Because in the end, that's all that matters. If you really think about it the only person that we will have until the end is ourselves, so it's so important to take care of yourself.

Listen to music that makes you happy

Get outside ( if you can, don't go out in single digits unless you want to)

Turn on music and dance until you can't breath ( not literally)

But y point here is do something that you can look back on and smile about.

Oh and one more thing!

This is the most crucial step

You HAVE to be mindful of your thoughts.

Sometimes when you think of one negative thing without even really knowing you're doing it, it can turn into a domino effect and that never ends with a smile on your face.

So comb through each and every thought as you think it.

Uh, I have to go to school today, I hate school. No one likes you anyway, Your clothes aren't cool enough and I don't have the right body to have friends.

SOUND THE ALARMS

Kick that stuff out right then and there

Instead, Uh I have to go to school today, I don't like school, ( insert kicking out that negative thought) well . . . I . . . I guess I'm lucky to get an education. I don't really fit in but you know what, people who fit in are boring. Like reaaallllly boring. they are literally all the same.

And ba bam!

This will get you on the right track.

You have to want to think better of yourself to achieve it.

Reading this post immediately qualifies you

Now you just have to work on getting there.

And most of all.

I love ya'll

cute i love you GIF

DIY Disinfecting Spray (Sorry for the horrid image) As many of you probably noticed our local store shelves are empty of essentials a lot of us need in the waking of the coronavirus. One of these items is disinfecting products. We can't help that people are panic buying but it would be nice to disinfect our house while social distancing. This DIY natural disinfectant does just as good as Clorox does and the ingredients aren't cleared off the shelves. ( Win-win am I right)  What you will need.  Vinegar  Water Dish liquid Instructions:  Pour equal parts vinegar and dish liquid in a spray bottle. Then fill the rest of the bottle with warm water. Spray on surfaces and get them sparkling clean. ;)

How I Save Hundreds Of Dollars On Household Products Each Year  I'm not going to make you read 10 paragraphs of nonsense before I actually tell you how I save big but there are a few things to add. This is not extreme couponing This is for people who have a full schedule and don't have the time to be a full-time couponer (because it IS a full-time job) but still want to save on household essentials. Last year I saved about $600 on laundry detergent, dryer sheets fabric softener, dish liquid, toilet paper, paper towels, air fresheners hair care, and pretty much anything you need.  Here is how I do it. Dollar General/ Family Dollar weekly deals. Let me explain. These stores offer coupons to people who sign up. It's completely free. You can add these coupons easily and apply them when you're in the store. You can use these coupons on anything but if you add the right ones you can save some pretty big bucks. Is it as extreme as couponing? No. I generally save...
